A solitary volcanic peak rising alone from the Central Luzon plain, Mt. Arayat is wrapped in Kapampangan folklore and offers commanding views over Pampanga, Zambales, Bataan, and the Sierra Madre. Its national-park side, Peak 1, is the mountain's main hiking trail.
